Tutor: Alana of East Nook Studio, makes, sells and teaches Silver jewellery making from her old Maltbarn studio in St Andrews. With a background in textiles and ceramics, and a degree in Jewellery and design, Alana, has an affinity for mixed materials, colour, texture and pattern.
Armed with a wealth of tools, we will begin by making test pieces (like the ones in the image), exploring the different textures and patterns that can be applied to metal with hammers, mini drills, scorers and punches, amongst other tools of the trade.
We will go on to shape, form, and hammer metals to create small finished pieces such as dog tags, keyrings and aluminium bangles ready for you to take home.
Please note, these workshops will need a minimum of 6 attendees to run. If the minimum subscription is not reached, the class will unfortunately not go ahead.
