Ready to roll? Our Beginner Skateboard Course at The XC, Hemel Hempstead is the perfect way for kids to start their skateboarding journey.
Led by experienced coaches, these structured lessons will cover the fundamentals of skateboarding, starting with balance and board control before progressing to skills like kick-turns, drop-ins, and even the ollie. Each session builds on the last, helping skaters grow in confidence and ability at their own pace.
We keep class sizes small to ensure everyone gets the support they need. Skateboarding is not just about tricks—it’s about building resilience, problem-solving, and creativity in a fun and supportive environment.
✅ All safety gear (helmet, wrist guards, knee & elbow pads) and skateboards provided if needed.
🏆 The XC Hemel skatepark is a large open facility with an indoor bowl and pool complex, it attracts skateboarders from beginner level to Olympic-standard athletes with Skate GB evets hosted here regularly.

All you need for your lesson are some comfy clothes, flat trainers and some water. We can supply you with a skateboard.
Please ensure you are on time for your lesson. If it is your first time with us, please make sure to attend the first session so we can catch you up with the basics.
