Let your child’s creativity flourish this term with our 12-week pottery course designed especially for young makers! Through a balance of hand-building and wheel-throwing, children will explore a wide range of ceramic techniques, from pinching and coiling to using the pottery wheel – all in a fun and relaxed studio setting.
Each week introduces new skills and imaginative projects, encouraging confidence, patience, and creative expression. Whether it’s sculpting a creature, building a fairy house, or throwing their first pot on the wheel, children will be amazed at what they can create from clay.
Projects will include:
All pieces will be bisque-fired and glazed in time for collection at the end of term.
We use high-quality stoneware clays:
This includes bisque and glaze firings, and access to studio glazes. We encourage sustainable practices and recycle where possible. If you’d like to bring your own clay or materials, please speak to a member of staff in advance.
Glazed items will be available to collect after the final session, once they’ve been glaze-fired.
Please note: we can only store finished pieces for up to three months after the course ends.
All bookings are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, please contact us at least 14 days before the start of the course to discuss rescheduling or alternative options.
While we take great care during the firing process, ceramics can sometimes crack or break in the kiln. These occasional mishaps are part of the learning journey, and we always encourage children to enjoy the creative process above all.
At Lovebird Studios, the safety and wellbeing of all participants, especially minors, are of utmost importance. To ensure compliance with UK safeguarding laws and best practices:
