Course Descriptor:
This course is ideal for those who have previously studied some Manx, and are comfortable with the material covered in Keim Nane (Level One) of Culture Vannin’s Loayr Gaelg course, which you can access here.
This course will include topics such as:
• Talking about yourself, and others, using the future tense of ‘to be’, e.g. ‘I will be…’
• Occupations
• How to say what you and others will/won’t do, using the future tense of ‘to do’
• Telling the time
• ‘Lenition 1’ – a type of mutation / change to the start of a word in Manx
Course participants will have lots of opportunities to practise speaking and listening in particular, and gain an understanding of grammar covered.
