This workshop explores ways to design lab experiences for students.

These evidence-based practices will help students develop a scientific approach which is transferable to real world complexity.

By the end of this workshop, each participant will:

• Explain the purpose of labs
• Define inquiry skills, and identify specific lab contexts which can be leveraged to support their development
• Assess the degree of inquiry in a lab protocol and propose changes to reinforce the development of this key skill set
