This course is the second part of 10A, and is for leaders and young leaders that have completed the 10A online session either on your membership record, found in ‘My Learning/‘Explore Learning/First Response e-learning’ or on a previous completed Hampshire Scouts - all Counties 2025 or module K (Young Leaders).
You MUST complete the online learning and forward your completion certificate to first.aid@glne-scouts.org.uk before booking your place.
You will then need to complete 10B practical in CPR/AED Adult and Child, at GLNE we will also ask you to complete a practical in Choking (we will provide the training equipment for you to do this), recovery position (physically or verbally), and safe use of an adrenaline auto-injector(epi-pen or Jext) (anaphylaxis treatment). Usually no more that 30mins
This can be completed at your meeting venue or at a date to be added to the county training list soon. It will depend on where you are. if you can pop along to one of the full days for 20-30mins we can complete your practical there, you do not need to stay for the whole day.
Please send your completion certificate to First.aid@glne-scouts.org.uk we will add this to your membership record, once all sessions have been completed.
You must complete the online session either with Hampshire Scouts(pre 16th March 2026) or from your My Learning on the scout membership system.
