A four-week, one hour per week online STA Endorsed safety course delivered via Zoom in by Steve Bowens from H2O Training.
During the 4 sessions you will learn about tides, weather, currents, personal safety, and forecasting, and use any practical knowledge during the course to consolidate any learning. There are some simple research tasks between some sessions that can be done from home (not mandatory). You will be invited to share your findings in a closed Facebook group to get feedback and additional information and slides will be provided via the group or via email.
**Ideal for:
This course is suitable for all sea swimmer levels or anyone new to sea swimming and looking to deepen their knowledge. It's also great for Open Water Coaches working in or around tidal areas looking to gain 1 CPD point. Any experience of sea swimming will help you apply the topics learnt.

**Duration:
The seminars are run for one hour over four weeks and attendance is recommended. Additionally each session will be recorded but only available to view for ONE WEEK after, so if you miss a session you can catch up in your own time.

Niveau : Course 1
The course will run every Monday at the same time each week for four weeks. Recordings are available for ONE WEEK after each session with a link emailed to you the next day. Interaction with the live sessions will be more beneficial due to the live Q&A each week, which offers the opportunity to consolidate your learning on that session.
There will be a short, interactive, online quiz at the end of some of the sessions. It is recomended that you have a separate device for taking part in the quiz. Again, not mandatory to participate as a pen & paper will suffice if you are a technophobe.
