This February half-term, give your children the chance to explore, learn, and play in the great outdoors with Kids Adventurist at Saltdean!
Our specially designed day forest school sessions are perfect for 8-11 year olds in Sussex and offer an exciting opportunity to have fun in nature while building independence, creativity, and resilience.
From outdoor activities like den building, clay making and tool work, building and cooking over fires, to fun-filled moments of discovery and games, each day promises adventures in our magical woodland setting. Having our site in Saltdean, we'll also be able to (weather dependant) go on adventures to our local beach or into the woods and downs surrounding Saltdean.
With limited spaces available, we keep our groups small to ensure every child gets a hands on and immersive experience. It’s a chance for your little adventurers to make memories, form friendships, and nurture a sense of curiosity and confidence in the wild.
Both sessions run from 9am to 3pm at Saltdean Primary School. Full location details can be found in the directions section.
Please note that this is a day camp only — no overnight stays!

Key info on What to Wear
All children should be wearing layers of clothing for our winter sessions. They can peel off layers if they get warm of course, but this will help them have the most fun outdoors this February they can!
Long sleeve tops and long trousers / thick leggings and waterproofs also help reduce the risk of scratches and scrapes from things like nettles and brambles throughout the woods, but also to help reduce the risk of ticks or bugs tagging along for the ride.
The forecast is always changing - something we're used to in the UK! So please ensure your child has waterproof trousers and jacket with them - we do not have spare onsite.
Children must also bring a full change of clothes in their bag. Especially in winter, if they get cold and wet, it won't be long before they want to head home.
Kit to bring includes:
Long sleeve tops / bottoms
Layered clothing - t shirt, long sleeve shirt, jumper, jacket - for example!
waterproof trousers / coats
wooly hat
change of clothes, including spare socks and pants!
