We’re excited to invite you to a one-of-a-kind experience in your Spanish-learning journey: Sabores y Sombras, our 2026 Tour de Inmersión Cultural in Oaxaca. Timed for the enchanting week leading up to Día de los Muertos, this journey lets you experience the city as it transforms, when decorations begin to appear, marigolds fill the markets, and the air carries the scent of pan de muerto and copal. You’ll practice Spanish daily while learning alongside artisans, chefs, and cultural experts who share the meanings behind these timeless traditions. From culinary experiences to ancestral art, this tour celebrates Oaxaca’s heart and spirit during one of its most inspiring seasons.

Duration: 7 days
Spanish level: Intermediate. You don’t need to be perfect, but you should be at a level to where you can handle most of the week in Spanish. All activities are in Spanish(with sensitivity and attention to the fact that we're students). We will be there to help.

Fly Into: Oaxaca International Airport
Meeting Point: We will meet you at the airport or the house that we will be staying, depending on your preference
What to Bring: We recommend bringing comfortable shoes, and casual, weather-appropriate attire.
Physical Exertion Level: low-moderate
Inclusions: Local transportation, accommodation, 3 meals a day, and all scheduled tours and activities.
Exclusions: Flights to and from the meeting points, personal expenses, optional activities, extra days, tips for the guides, or anything not outlined here.
