This is a four session archery "beginners' course", designed to train complete beginners to shoot a bow & arrow safely & competently. Everything you need will be provided - please do not buy any archery equipment before completing the course.
You will be trained on 'recurve' bows (as in the illustration), but you will be introduced to barebow, longbow & compound bowstyles during the course.
Although this course is intensive, and requires candidates to focus for an extended period, archery is uniquely suitable for people with impairments, or who are ND. If you fall into either category please feel free to contact us, and our trained staff can liaise with you to set you mind at rest and ensure your course is as fulfilling as possible.
Malvern Archers have been supporting archers for more than 120 years. The course will be run by our ArcheryGB licensed coaches - who are all DBS checked & SafeGuarding trained. Please note that U18 candidates must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the course.
The format for this course is two 4 hour sessions on the Saturday & Sunday afternoons of that weekend, followed by two shorter sessions on the following Tuesday & Thursday evenings.
