A 4 week, 1 hour per week online course via Zoom delivered by Steve Bowens from H2O Training and Norma MacLeod from Immerse Hebrides.
This course is suitable for all levels of sea swimmer but some experience of sea swimming will help you apply the topics learnt. You will learn about tides, weather, currents, personal safety and forecasting applying practical knowledge to the course with simple research tasks in between some sessions which can be done from home (not mandatory).
There will be a short interactive quiz at the end of some of the sessions through the app Kahoot. You can download this app on a separate device or follow the link we provide you with upon booking and use a separate tab on your computer. Again not mandatory to participate as a pen & paper will suffice if you are a technophobe.
The course will run every Monday at the same time each week for 4 weeks. Recordings are available for 1 WEEK after each session with a link emailed to you the next day. To get the best out of your learning attendance is recommended (but not essential) as we have a live Q&A each week which offers opportunity to consolidate your learning on that session.

You'll need access to a laptop/device with a camera and microphone for Zoom and a second device such as a phone/ipad will be useful to operate the quiz and at the same time.
It's not necessary to download Zoom as you can access it through your browser and also Kahoot. The links will be sent in your booking confirmation email.
