Understanding Reproductive Justice and Reproductive Coercion: A webinar for healthcare providers during Domestic Violence Awareness Month

This Lunch & Learn webinar will introduce the concepts of reproductive justice and reproductive coercion, with a focus on how these issues show up in healthcare and clinical practice. Guided by principles of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion, the session will explore reproductive health, autonomy, and human rights across diverse communities.

Participants will learn how a reproductive justice lens can support more equitable, patient-centred care and will gain practical tools for recognizing, assessing, and responding to reproductive coercion. The session will offer both community and clinical perspectives, with strategies that healthcare providers can incorporate into routine practice to support patient autonomy, safety, and informed decision-making.

This session is intended for physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and other healthcare providers seeking to strengthen their approach to equitable and trauma-informed care.
