Join us for a spin around the gardens at sunset! Our restoration gardens are at their best in mid-to-late summer, and there will be many native blooms to admire.
The Nature Sanctuary's wildflower restoration project has been ongoing since 2000 and was rejuvenated in 2015 with the addition of a dedicated horticulturist to the team. With around 20 full-sun garden beds, hundreds of trailside wildflower plantings, 14 woodland beds, and many naturally-occurring species, the Sanctuary is a fantastic place to learn about and enjoy native plants.
Instructions
DISTANCE/TERRAIN: Easy-moderate. We will walk up to 3/4 mile on gravel/dirt trails over uneven terrain in low light.
WHAT TO WEAR: Clothes and shoes suited for hiking. Be prepared to repel ticks. Bring bug spray!
PARKING: Park in the main Spring Farm CARES gravel lot. A staff member will meet everyone there.
WEATHER: We will reschedule the walk for rain, thunder, or bad AQI.
