Informations

Libby has been a speech and language therapist for 40 years next year. She has worked with so many children and young people with selective mutism in that time. She has a pragmatic approach to all her work but especially in the field of selctive mutism.

This book is dedicated to and written in memory of Alice Sluckin who told her to write it so others may gain confidence to ‘do what it takes.’ Alice was the founder of the charity Selective mutism Information and Research Association (SMIRA) who was instrumental in promoting this little known problem.

It shows how the usual techniques and approaches can be personalised for individuals with a problem-solving thread throughout.

Join Libby for the on-line book launch of her book for a chance to win a copy of the book.
