The Tempo Changers is a music class for 0-2 year olds to enjoy and bond through music with their accompanying carer.
Rooted in Edward Gordons music learning Theory, we will explore original and some well-known English songs through musical games, movement and instruments. The classes are child led and I follow their lead closely.
My aim is to nurture every Child's musical potential, creating an environment and games which support the development of their psychomotoric, expressive, cognitive and social skills. To enable this, the class size is restricted to 8 families
The children are free to move, explore, and engage with the environment at their own pace. Carers are warmly encouraged to join in—singing, moving, and contributing to the joyful, interactive musical world we build together under my guidance.
My aim is to create a playful, child-led environment that nurtures each child's musical potential. Space is left between songs, allowing the children to process and to see their responses to the music. It's a non pressured environment supporting the children to find, explore and play with their own musical voice.
To ensure smooth running of sessions, I'd be very grateful that you read and follow the following rules:
The studio is located in a building which is a home to many. Please be respectful of noise coming in and out of the property- especially in the shared spaces like the Hall. You are responsible for your child and their behavior in the hallway.
Unfortunately no pushchairs/ scooters etc can be left outside in the hallway- they can be put to one side of the entrance room or in the little room on the left. Carriers/ Tragetücher are wonderful!
Opposite near Mediamarkt is a space to chain up bikes, or if it's a child scooter it may be placed in the small room to the right hand side on entry.
The Music room itself is a shoe free zone. Please remove and store outdoor shoes in the appropriate area.
Any snacks etc can be eaten in the front room. The main room is a food free zone :)
If you'd like to bring another person to the class, please ask. Whether it is possible or not, is dependent on availability and space.

Autumn Term Baby Ticket ( 10 sessions)
This ticket is valid for one child and their accompanying carer for the 10 sessions of the Autumn term ( 10th September-November 19th ). Incase of the course leaders illness, the make up date will be put into action on the 26th November. Missed classes rescheduling policy: Missed classes will not be refunded. If there is another class running (of the same age group) on a different day, you are welcome to email Sophie and check for availability. If possible you can then attend that class to " make up" the missed session.

Trial Sessions on the 10th and 17th September
This ticket is valid only for the 10th and 17th of September.It is for new families who are wanting to try out the classes. It's really important for me that it is two trial sessions on consecutive weeks, as the little ones can be quite overwhelmed in the first session- dealing with a new place, new faces and a new activity. This allows us to see if its a good fit for you and for me :)
