Redbridge Libraries and Creative Mashup are proud to welcome award winning poet, playwright, comedian, and educator Kat Francois for a truly inspiring creative experience.
Kat made history as the first person to win a televised poetry slam in the UK, and only a year later, she went on to win the World Slam Championships. Known for her powerful voice, dynamic performance style, and deep commitment to nurturing creativity, Kat has become a leading figure in spoken word and performance poetry.
With extensive experience providing both youth and adult coaching, Kat supports writers and performers at every stage of their journey—whether developing creative writing skills, building confidence on stage, or exploring personal storytelling.
In this workshop, Kat will guide participants through a range of creative exercises designed to spark imagination and build confidence. Working with the theme of empowerment, she will encourage you to explore your unique voice and experiment with new ways of expressing yourself.
Expect an uplifting, energetic session filled with laughter, creativity, and community—perfect for poets, writers, performers, or anyone looking to ignite their creative spark.
FlowetryByWarda is a monthly poetry workshop at Redbridge Central Library, offering a calm space for creative expression and poetic flow.
