Triple P Positive Parenting Program: Session 5 - Managing Fighting and Aggression

Informations

Managing Fighting and Aggression

Session 5 of 5 bite-sized workshops focusing on key parenting challenges during your child's early years.

We all want our children to be happy and well-adjusted but sometimes they have to deal with disagreements and frustrations. When children argue or fight, even become aggressive, it can be hard for parents to know when to step in and how to calm things down. The important thing is for children to learn how to get along with others, and this is something parents can teach them by having clear limits and setting a good example. This is an invitation for us to explore this together.

This 2-hour discussion group can be taken as a stand-alone session or as part of an integrated series. The group will be facilitated by an accredited Triple P practitioner and will include discussion of positive parenting strategies, active skills training, problem solving and developing a personalised parenting plan.

Instructions

The session will involve following a Powerpoint presentation and a booklet; group discussion will also take place. It is therefore advised you do not bring your child(ren) to assist with maximizing the learning opportunity.
