Location: Jarvis Park, Maryville, TN - We will meet at the picnic tables along the south loop (follow the signs to find us!)
Ages: 3-7 with caregiver
This 4-week series is designed for children ages 3-7 and their caregivers to explore simple cooking skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. Each week, we’ll meet at the park to prepare seasonal recipes, engage in sensory-rich food play, and share a picnic-style snack together.
More than just cooking, this series is about slowing down, following your child’s lead, and building confidence through meaningful, shared experiences.
Over the 4 weeks, your child will:
-Explore new foods through hands-on, low-pressure exposure
-Practice simple kitchen skills like washing, mixing, and assembling
-Engage in sensory play that supports development and regulation
-Build confidence, independence, and curiosity
-Strengthen connection with you and peers in a small group setting
What to expect:
Each session includes guided cooking activities, playful food exploration, and time to enjoy what we’ve made together picnic-style. Groups are kept small and intentionally formed to create a warm, connected experience for every family.
