Anything Goes Tap Workshop with Lukas Poischbeg! 🛟

Grab your tap shoes for our 'Anything Goes' inspired workshop!

After a quick warm-up, Lukas will dive into a routine inspired by the 2011 Broadway Revival featuring Sutton Foster. Dancers will step aboard the SS American, embodying the wit and elegance that makes Anything Goes a theatre classic.

Lukas will be offering options throughout the class to suit dancers from Level 2 to Level 5 (ie 'have been taking tap for a couple of years', all the way up to 'have been tapping since I was tiny'). As a base level, ideally dancers should be confident with a fluid single time step, rolling shuffles, and maxiford with pickup.

• About Lukas - Back by popular demand! Lukas Poischbeg is a German/American musical theatre performer and teaching artist born and raised in Seattle, USA. Lukas studied at the University of Washington, where he received a Bachelor‘s Degree in Dance & Education as well as a Master’s Degree from the University of Roehampton. As an educator, Lukas has taught students of all ages in all disciplines of Dance and Theatre, working with an array of companies around the world such as Seattle’s Performers & the Evergreen School (USA), Tybas Dance Center (Hamburg), Pineapple Dance Studios & Roehampton University (London).

Lukas’ theatre credits include Cinderella (UK Productions), Buttons in Disney's Newsies, Paul in A Chorus Line (Hamburg), Bickle/Cover Willard Hewitt in Footloose – Das Musical (Germany/Austria/Switzerland) as well as concert productions of Legally Blonde and 9 to 5 in Seattle, USA. He has sailed across five continents as a Dancer/Singer onboard the MS Amadea as well as appearing as Ryan in the web series Link It (Oxford University Press). Lukas’ credits as choreographer include Legally Blonde, H.M.S. Pinafore, 42nd Street (Associate Choreographer), Bye Bye Birdie (Assistant Choreographer), Mary Poppins Jr., Into The Woods Jr. (Co-Director), and more.

Lukas believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn in a safe and supportive environment. When we learn to take risks and express ourselves in front of others we develop valuable life skills beyond theatre or dance.

-Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the workshop starts.
-Wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident in - don't forget your tap shoes!
-Bring water!
-You can cancel your tickets up to 48hrs before the workshop and you will be refunded but we will charge 50p per cancelled ticket.
