Ages: 5 - 11 years old.
Join us this Summer as we create amazing art. Working with our fantastic artist educators, you will explore art and design practices in the gallery and the beautiful surrounding of Eltham College. Everyone will leave feeling inspired and armed with amazing creations and new creative skills!
Every day, you will spend some time working outside in the sun (or rain!), exploring the grounds of Eltham College.
DAY 1: Transform: Paper
You will have the chance to explore ways to make paper, learn how to make a sketchbook from scratch, create a sculpture, play with paper-mache and do some printmaking.
DAY 2: Upcycle clothes
The day will include looking at fashion designers that upcycle recycled fabrics as well as exploring different fabrics and textures. There will be the chance to change clothes through using collage as well as screenprinting onto T shirts and bags and using photography.
Day 3: Reuse Plastics
There is the chance to work with plastic to make a sculptural mobile, thinking about motion and balance. Having made a boat using recycled materials there will be a filmmaking session to record the sailing adventure!
Please bring: nut-free packed lunch and snacks and a waterproof jacket. PLEASE INFORM US IF YOUR CHILD HAS ANY ALLERGIES WITHIN 'OTHER INFORMATION'
