Learn the basics of ceramics in this 6 week course, led by the fantastic local ceramicist, David Preston.
Hand-building with clay is an ancient art and this course teaches how to make ceramics using pinch pots, coiling and slab building. You will learn how to manipulate the clay using these traditional methods and then how to enhance your pieces with a range of surface decoration techniques.
This course is for beginners who have 0 to little experience. For anyone who is intermediate, please have a look at Zoe Stainton's course which runs on a Tuesday, 10 am - 12 pm.
