This term we are working with the fabulous Mick Kirkby-Geddes!!
Mick is a local sculptor from Holmfirth, and will be showing the kids how to make cool scrap sculptures :)
Our Young Creatives club runs every Saturday in term-time 11am to 1pm, and is especially for children aged 11 years plus. The class combines fun and creativity while developing technical art and craft skills. Each half term has a theme based project written by the tutors - recently we’ve had a go at pointillism, portraiture and print-making.
We ensure the children create alongside merging artists who inspire and enthuse, trying out techniques and using materials that schools generally don’t teach until later years of High School.
Our Globe tutors running these courses are experienced teachers, with DBS and first aid training.
