Animal sculpture workshop with Frances Noon.
Learn how to make a free standing bird or an animal themed sculpture from mixed metals.
On this one day course participants will form their design from brass or copper sheet metal.
You will learn how to cut and saw a shape from the metal using a piercing saw, snips and files. Then using a variety of punches you will hammer and texture details onto the surface of your design.
Additional details such as legs and tails or antennae can be added in wire and soldered to the piece.
Finally you will mount the sculpture on a hand painted wooden block.
