Learn the basics of ceramics in this new 6 week course, led by the fantastic local ceramicist, David Preston!
Hand-building with clay is an ancient art and this course teaches how to make ceramics using pinch pots, coiling and slab building. You will learn how to manipulate the clay using these traditional methods and then how to enhance your pieces with a range of surface decoration techniques.
Each week you will make small items to learn and practice the various techniques before choosing and constructing a piece of your own design.
