The Orionid meteor Shower

Details

Halleys Comet! The most famous interloper of them all is the parent comet of the Orionid meteor shower.

A good display is expected from this shower as we head into midnight and beyond into the wee small hours.

Under our wonderful dark skies, we can expect to see as many as 20 meteors per hour as the tiny dust grains left behind by Halley's comet interact with our atmosphere as a flash of light!

As well as the dazzling show overhead we will utilise our array of telescopes to view the universe in stunning resolution.
