Details

A one-day workshop exploring the uses and beauty of the Lime tree.

Lime trees have been important to humans throughout history. Overlooked today, this beautiful and versatile tree has many uses. We will look at making rope from bark used on viking boat rigging, gathering flowers to make a tea that aids relaxation and making fire using lime in bow drills. We will also explore the sculptural uses of the timber in carving. As with all our workshops, you will take home what you make and see the trees around us in a new light.
