Join us for a day of converting round logs into square beams for our new Woodland Smiddy. We will identify suitable timber and hew them using axes. The course will include preparing the logs and marking out, and participant will be trained to use the axes before being set loose on the logs.
All tools and equipment provided. This is a physical workshop, where you'll be standing for most of the day. Expect aching muscles and blisters!
Hot drinks and cake provided, but please bring along your best jokes! Please also bring lunch, which you are welcome to cook over the fire.
