Once you have used one, you'll know why you need one! Join us for a weekend course to make your own steed. The course covers timber selection, tools required and techniques to make a swinging frame shave horse.
We will shape the base, make and fit legs, and select curved timber for the frame. We'll also use the pole lathe to turn the foot rest and top grip. At the end of the weekend, you will have your own shave horse to take away with you. Get ready to expand your woodworking horizons!
The workshop takes place over 2 days - running around 10am to 4pm each day. All tools and materials are included in the tickets price. Attendees are welcome to camp onsite for a small fee. Please book this when you book your ticket.
Tea and coffee are provided throughout the event but please bring your own food. You are welcome to cook over the fire.
Cancellation policy:
We do have to cancel events from time to time, usually for safety reasons in bad weather or when there is a weather warning. If we do have to cancel, we'll give as much notice as possible. We'll also refund the value of the booking, seek a suitable placement on a similar event or rearrange the date of the event. If you have to cancel, please tell us as far in advance as possible. If you let us know at least 14 days in advance, we'll refund your booking.
