Learn how to turn a log into a beautiful and functional piece of cutlery in this six week course.
Spoon carving is a gateway to woodcarving and with very few tools and a bit of wood can be a fairly addictive hobby. Easy to get in to but difficult to perfect this course will take you through every step of spoon carving from selecting the right wood, caring for and safely using your tools, various designs and carving techniques right up to finishing your spoon.
Over the six weeks of the course you will incrementally progress your skills, carving a number of utensils in different styles using axe, knife and crook knife.
Even if you're not a beginner this is a good opportunity for you to spend some quality time improving your technique and working on those projects you never have time for in the company of other like minded people.

Run in 12 acres of private woodland, refreshments provided, tools provided. Participants will receive their own crook knife as part of the price of this course. 13+ (under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult)
