Who is Introduction to Residential Experiences for?
Introduction to Residential Experiences is for volunteers who may organise or support residential experiences for young people as part of their role in Scouting. It is intended to provide an introduction to residential experiences.

By attending this course you will be able to:

  • Explain the role that residential experiences have in the development of young people in Scouting.
  • Describe the organisation and administration of residential experiences.
  • Identify the skills required within a team running a residential experience.
  • Describe the Nights Away Permit scheme, including where to locate support and further information whilst planning a residential experience.

The validation of this module is based on your ability to meet the criteria. This means the adult will need to demonstrate an understanding of the role of residential experiences in Scouting.

Instructions

You will need:
Access to an internet enabled device that allows you to see content on screen (A computer or Tablet (e.g. iPad) will be most suitable. You may struggle to use a smartphone screen.

To have your camera switched on so we can validate your attendance.
