Effective Middle and Senior Leaders Programme
1 x full day and 3 x half day sessions for delegates; 1 x half day session for in school mentors
Aimed at: Primary Middle and Senior Leaders who wish to develop their leadership skills.

This programme supports participants to develop their impact as effective middle leaders. Unlike the New Leaders Programmes, it looks more broadly at further developing leadership skills among more experienced leaders and for those who are taking on positions of increased responsibility within their schools.
PLEASE NOTE: TWO OR MORE participants will be required to attend from each school and the school will need to provide an appropriate IN-SCHOOL MENTOR who can attend one afternoon training and provide at least one coaching session for each participant per half-term.
Types of leaders, vision and strategy, leading change, building trust, coaching and mentoring, motivating others and leading effective CPD.

Day 1 - delegates, 17th January 2019 8.30am - 12.30pm: What type of leader do I want to be? Importance of vision and strategy. How to balance leadership and management to have impact in your role.
Day 1 - mentors, 17th January 2019 1.00pm - 4.00pm: School Mentors to attend to discuss and agree protocols on coaching and mentoring. Using the GROW model to be an effective coach. An introduction to non-directive coaching.

Day 2 - 21st March Beechwood Junior School, 8:30am – 3:30pm:
Leading effective change for improvement. How to beat the odds by understanding how to lead successful change and build trust through high quality relationships, whilst holding others to account and overcoming resistance.

Day 3 - 22nd May, Beechwood Junior School, 8:30am – 12:00pm:
Building an effective team through maximizing trust and motivation. How to lead a high performing team by having behavioural flexibility.

Day 4 - 20th June, Beechwood Junior School, 8:30am – 12:00pm:
Leading high quality teaching and learning through modelling, monitoring and dialogue. Leading effective professional learning. CPD vs. JPD vs. SGP? Using research intelligently.

The programme will be facilitated by Jonathan Hannam.
