If everyday stresses are impacting the quality of your life, if you constantly feel anxious, overwhelmed or disconnected, there is a reason! Your nervous system may be stuck in dysregulation. Past trauma, childhood experiences, and even our genetics have shaped the way our nervous system responds to stress. This in turn impacts our mental health, causing anxiety, depression and overwhelm. Enter the vagus nerve. By working with our vagus nerve and befriending our nervous systems we can anchor ourselves in safety and build our resilience.

Join Kat in this workshop that explores how befriending our nervous systems is one of the most empowering and accessible ways that we can move through life with greater ease. Kat will blend yoga, somatics, and neuroscience to support you in taking this step towards healing.

This is a courageous space for you to befriend your nervous system’s responses. Kat will support your own self-enquiry: encouraging you to approach yourself with tenderness and curiosity. All of you is seen and held here.

Expect:
Vagal toning exercises.
Somatic practices for regulation
A talk on the neuroscience behind the vagus nerve.
Breathwork to build a flexible nervous system.
A somatic yin practice to help you learn the language of your body.
A dreamy relaxation to help you integrate all that you have learnt.

This workshop takes a trauma informed approach and is mental health aware. It supports your choice and your lived experiences - reach out if there's any way Kat can support you in attending this workshop.

Instructions

If you have your own yoga mat then great please bring it.
If you don’t have a mat I can loan you one for your first class, after that I advise buying one. Please let me know.
If you have a pair of yoga blocks, please bring them with you. Dont worry if not.
A bottle of water.
Please wear comfy clothing and feel free to bring a notebook for journaling.
