With the help of bat detectors, we will share the excitement of locating and identifying the species that are on the wing near the town. The walk will end at a moth trap, where we expect that a UV light will attract a wide range of sizes, shapes and colours of the many hundreds of moth species that occur locally.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Not suitable for children younger than 8.

Meet at 8.45pm at the entrance to Well Lane (an alley off High St., Haslemere, nearly opposite the Georgian Hotel). We will be walking towards Swan Barn Farm - total walking distance 2km maximum. Bring one torch per person. There are some short slopes and uneven ground: wear appropriate shoes. Check the weather forecast and wear appropriate clothing.
