This fun and fast paced 3 month course explores designing to a brief...specifically creating collection for existing brands of individuals with established design identities.
This course is divided into 3 parts, (creating for an existing jewellery brand, launching a jewellery line for a non-jewellery brand and high jewellery capsule
presentations). Each part will have a drawing element introduced, (quick sketching, technical drawing and presentation rendering).
Course overview:
Month 1: expanding / creating collections within an existing jewellery brand (includes brand analysis and trends)
Month 2: creating a jewellery line for a non-jewellery brand (understanding brand aesthetics outside of jewellery)
Month 3: Creating a high jewellery line or individual piece for a high end brand or Muse (think Met Gala - where it’s more about broader themes for individual pieces rather than a traditional collection)
Please note: the primary CSM lectures are the first of each monthly block. Subsequent sessions are practical, working sessions with interactive practice and feedback.
Please note the first session of each month will be on the University of the Arts London online platform. Further registration and login information will be sent by the UAL online team.
