Certified First Aid Training Course for Voluntary and Community Organisations - Voluntary Sector Support

Be prepared for emergency first aid situations at work. Join us on Tuesday 9 July 2024 for a full day's training course on emergency first aid.

You will receive an Ofqual Regulated Qualification which lasts 3 years, as well as a manual and certificate.

What does this course cover?

• The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
• Assessing an incident
• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• CPR and defibrillation
• Recovery position
• Choking
• Seizures
• Shock
• Wounds and bleeding
• Minor injuries (cuts, scrapes & bruises; minor burns and scalds)

The course covers both adult and child first aid.

What Qualification will you get?
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations.

How much does the training cost?
The cost of the training is £56 per person, subsidised from the full cost of £70 per person by Voluntary Sector Support.

Who can book?
The training is for voluntary, community and not-for-profit organisations working within the Horsham District and West Sussex and will be delivered by Purple Aid Training.

As there are only 12 places available, initially bookings are limited to 2 people per organisation to allow as many groups as possible to access the training. If you'd like more people from your organisation to book on, please let us know and we will put you on a list to contact if we still have spaces left nearer the time.
