Join Horsley’s galanthophiles (snowdrop nuts), David Bullock and Alan Caudwell, to visit their gardens to see the subtle differences between snowdrop varieties. David and Allan have several of the 20 or so species and dozens of the 100s of varieties, plus some snowflakes or ‘drops on steroids’. As David says, ‘It’s as if our festival was designed around snowdrops and it would be remiss not to celebrate them’.
Maximum of 20 people, 10 in each garden, swapping after 1.5 hours. Some walking involved. Warm and waterproof clothing essential. Hot drinks provided. Bring along one of your snowdrops - bulb, leaves and flower – and we will try to identify it. Keep it in a polythene bag so you can replant it. Meet at the Village Hall
