🌙 YOGA NIDRA — THE PRACTICE OF DEEP REST 🌙
Feeling tired, tense or overwhelmed by the busyness of everyday life? Yoga Nidra offers an opportunity to pause, switch off and find a little more space for yourself.
Sometimes described as ‘yogic sleep’ or Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR), Yoga Nidra is a simple yet deeply restorative guided meditation practice.
And despite the name — there are no yoga postures or movement involved.
Simply get comfortable, lie back and allow yourself to be guided through gentle breath and body awareness, relaxation and meditation.
As the body settles into stillness and the mind remains conscious and aware, Yoga Nidra guides us towards that peaceful space between waking and sleeping — offering an opportunity to release tension, quieten the mental chatter and put aside the demands of everyday life for a while.
No previous experience of yoga or meditation is needed. Simply come as you are and allow yourself some time to pause, rest and reconnect. 🌙
What will I need?
Think cosy! Wear something warm and comfortable and bring anything you need to snuggle down:
🌙 Yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on (essential)
🌙 Blanket
🌙 Cushion or pillow
🌙 Cosy socks
🌙 Eye mask or eye pillow, if you have one
