The effective monitoring and management of sickness within schools is vital and can result in real advantages in employee motivation and reduced levels of absence.

In this course we focus on managing attendance rather than absence, taking a proactive approach when managing sickness absence.
By the end of the course, you will:

• Understand the importance of managing attendance and recognising the causes
• Understand the role of the manager in managing absence
• Understand the difference between managing short and long term absences
• Know what support is available to support employees and managers
