Application for Market Stall on 28th November 2026

The Davidsons Mains Christmas Market will take place on Saturday 28th November 2026 between 12pm – 6pm.

The committee welcomes applications from local businesses and organisations to promote and sell products and services at this very popular event. The majority of stalls are outdoor in the Church grounds and East Barnton Avenue, although we do also have a limited number of indoor stalls within the Holy Cross Church Hall.

Applications must be submitted no later than 12pm on the 2nd October 2026.

This is a very popular local, community event with a footfall of over 3,200 visitors, feedback from previous stallholders has always been positive. The committee strive to ensure that everyone involved in the market benefits from it and that it is a boost to the local economy.

In previous years we have had more applications than we are able to accommodate and the committee assesses all applications against an agreed criteria. Please ensure you provide details of the items you intend to sell and advise the committee as soon as possible if this changes.

To ensure as many small businesses benefit from this opportunity we do welcome joint applications for stallholders who may wish to share a pitch with another vendor.

You will be advised if your application has been successful no later than the 9th October 2026. If approved, you will be sent a link to complete your booking and submit payment.

Pitch fees must then be paid in full within 7 days or your pitch may be offered to a vendor on the waiting list.

• Indoor stalls are priced at £50 and are provided with a wooden table (1.5m x 0.75m) and access to an electricity point. You may want to provide your own table cover.

• Outdoor stalls are priced at £40 and are provided with a shelter or gazebo and a table (1.8m x 0.75m). There is no electricity available for outdoor stall pitches.

• Hot Food Pitches are priced at £75 and are provided with a shelter or gazebo and a table (1.8m x 0.75m). There is no electricity available for Hot Food Pitches.

• Local nonprofit organisations may qualify for a discounted or free stall. Select the stall of your choice and be sure to indicate during registration if you are a local nonprofit organisation.

• Sizes are approximate and may vary. Stallholders retain all income from their sales made on the day.

• As the event will run into the hours of darkness, we will provide ambient and safety lighting throughout the marketplace. Stallholders may wish to consider bringing additional battery operated lighting for their stall.

• All Hot Food stalls will be outdoor pitches. Hot Food applications should be from vendors whose primary purpose is the provision of hot food to be eaten at the event.

• There are a limited number of indoor stalls and a justification of why these have been requested may be sought from stall holders and cannot be guaranteed.

• All efforts to meet special requests will be made but cannot be guaranteed.
