Education - Stargazing with John Pressly

Join us for a fascinating family stargazing event with John Pressly from Coats Observatory in Paisley. Discover the wonders of the night sky and learn more about our closest star, the Sun, through live demonstrations and hands-on activities.

Using specialist solar telescopes, John will show how we can safely observe the Sun and its incredible features, as well as demonstrate simple techniques for projecting the Sun’s image. Families will also have the chance to create their own simple solar viewers to take home.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the event will still go ahead with an engaging talk and a mini planetarium experience indoors. It’s a fun, educational event for curious minds of all ages and a great chance to explore the universe together.
