Introduction to the Meditation – Finding your inner still point
Meditation has become much more widespread due to the far-reaching and long-lasting benefits meditation brings to our overall sense of wellbeing, but meditation can seem quite challenging without an experienced teacher to guide and support you.
Struggling with meditation is quite common as we often believe that we need to still the mind so we are free from distractions, this could not be further from the truth.
“The true purpose of meditation is to connect with ourselves, so we cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness and of the present moment with the added benefit of a calmer more balance mind, reduced stress and anxiety, as well as improved focus and attention along with being happy for no apparent reason.”
This four-week course has been designed to support you with your meditation practice whether you are just starting out or would like to learn new techniques to support your existing practice.
Week 1 – What is meditation?
In this session we’ll be understanding the principles of meditation, the art of finding the right meditation posture and ‘The 3 Acceptances’.

This session will introduce the five layers of our consciousness where we begin to understand ourselves on a much more deep and profound level and learning concentration (dharana) meditation practice.
