Whether you're looking to build a stronger bond with your pet dog, explore a new hobby or develop practical gundog skills, this course is the perfect place to start. Suitable for all breeds with no previous gundog experience required, you'll learn the foundations of reward based gundog training in a fun, supportive environment.
Over six weeks we'll cover:
- Heelwork
- Steadiness
- Impulse control
- Whistle cues including the recall, sit and stop whistle,
- A reliable retrieve from scratch.
You'll also gain a better understanding of how to motivate your dog and build focus around distractions.
Each session includes:
- Digital training notes
- Access to the DHT app where you can upload videos for personalised feedback and connect with the community
- The option to begin your DHT Gundog Journal as you progress through the pathway.
Instrukciók
What to bring
- Please bring plenty of high value treats ( chicken, ham, cheese, hotdogs)
- Lead and collar
- Poo bags.
Long lines will be provided during the course and fresh water for the dogs is also provided.
You'll also need a training dummy and a whistle. If you don't already have these or your not sure which is right for your dog, they can be purchased at your first class or by using the link in the confirmation email.
