  • Kids First envisions Lead Professional Educators as pivotal figures in the educational landscape, acting as mentors, coaches, and facilitators who guide their colleagues toward improved instructional practices.
  • Kids First will use job-embedded training, side-by-side coaching, and asynchronous modules to deliver the Lead Professional curriculum. The curriculum covers six modules that directly align with the Arkansas Teacher Leader Model Standards.
    Module 1: Collaborative Culture Module 2: Assessing and Using Research Module 3: Promoting Professional Learning Module 4: Facilitating Improvements Module 5: Use of Assessments and Data Module 6: Collaboration with Families and Community, Advocating
  • Kids First will utilize Mentorship and Side-by-Side Coaching to support participants as they grow into Lead Professionals. We will also provide access to a rich collection of resources, including research articles, toolkits, and instructional materials.

This program includes face-to-face coaching and an online platform. The participant will complete 6 modules of asynchronous work on his or her own time and receive three face-to-face, job-embedded support coaching visits.

  • Log in to the Google Classroom platform on your own time, over 6 months, to complete each module.
  • Collaborate with a highly qualified Kids First coach who will use job-embedded training, side-by-side coaching, and asynchronous modules to work with each attendee through the Lead Professional curriculum.
