Join us for a hands-on workshop where children can create their own dreamcatcher using natural materials under the guidance of our green woodworking experts.
Plus set off on a magical orienteering storytelling trail to uncover Native American folklore and legends surrounding the spider and how the spider is a symbol of protection, patience and creativity.
Utilising traditional rural crafts, each child will be supported by our expert rural craftspeople to design and create their own dreamcatchers to take home.
Whilst all ages are welcome, we recommend that this activity is suitable for primary school aged children. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are responsible for any dietary requirements and please do alert Led by the Wild staff if there are any allergies we need to be aware of.
We have 15 spaces per group. Group 1 will create their dreamcatcher between 10am and 12pm and take part in the guided activities in the afternoon between 12pm and 2pm. Group 2 will take part in the guided activities in the morning between 10am and 12pm and create their dreamcatcher between 12pm and 2pm.
There will be plenty of time for lunch, please bring a packed lunch and a drink. Tea, coffee, squash and cake will be provided.
This activity is free to attend as part of Ashford Borough Council's Great Big Green Week. We kindly request if you cannot attend, you let us know as soon as possible and we will allocate your space to somebody else on the waiting list.
