Create your own acrylic painting on a 30cm x 40cm stretched and primed canvas over three 2hr sessions. All materials, aprons and brushes provided, just walk in and create.
Session 1 will begin with sketching on the primed surface and an appropriate underpainting practising brushstrokes and mark making.
Session 2 develop your understanding of colour mixing and coolness and warmness to develop your chosen scheme.
Session 3 Choice of acrylic mediums including paste, sand texture gel, impasto and gloss to develop your idea. Finish your painting and take it home in a protective pizza box style cardboard box ready to hang on your wall.
A variety of themes will be provided or you may choose to bring your own image to work from.
Refreshments including tea and coffee are also included.
If you wish to work on your own idea please bring a physical copy of it out ideally A4 sized that can be sketched on. If you know the topics you are interested in please email them to your tutor at JAS@open2art.uk who will prepare suggestions for you.
