Art for the Soul – Summer 2025

This six-week course is designed to help you unlock your inner artist and use creativity as a tool for emotional and mental wellness. Through a sequence of hands-on workshops, we’ll explore and develop design ideas that lead to a range of textile outcomes — all in a relaxed, communal, and supportive environment.

Summer Course Part 1 (Weeks 1–3): £54
In the first three weeks, the focus is on creative exploration and producing materials. You’ll experiment with shape and colour, hand-dye a range of fabrics and threads, begin developing designs for appliqué, and explore a variety of stitch techniques.

Week 1 – 13th June: Shape & Colour

Week 2 – 20th June: Hand Appliqué

Week 3 – 27th June: Reverse Appliqué

Summer Course Part 2 (Weeks 4–6): £54
The second half of the course is dedicated to developing your designs into finished textile pieces. You’ll incorporate your hand-dyed materials into your work using either appliqué or weave-based techniques.

Week 4 – 4th July: Design Development

Week 5 – 11th July: Stitch or Weave

Week 6 – 18th July: Stitch or Weave
