We're going aboard Cecilia again for a pre-summer jaunt up the canal! Please arrive with enough time to be on board before 11am leave time.
Community narrowboat ‘Cecilia’ is owned by the Worcester, Birmingham & Droitwich Canals Society and run by a group of enthusiastic volunteers. Our aim is to offer trips to groups of people who would not normally have the opportunity of experiencing the local inland waterways.
‘Cecilia’ is fitted out as a day boat with ample room for up to 12 passengers, supported by our volunteer crew. As such only book for essential passengers in your party- Please cancel if you are unable to attend and every person needs a ticket
You can bring snacks to enjoy as we travel along the waterway for a round trip
Depart and return from Alvechurch. Please also dress appropriately as outside on the deck there is no cover.
Please arrive on time as the boat must run to schedule- if late we will leave without you.
There will not be chance to disembark the boat but there are limited facilities on board. There is a small toilet
The boat is not wheelchair accessible unless for ambulant wheelchair users ( where the wheelchair can be folded down)
Please note do not park on the marina car park.
++ NOTE: In order for the session to proceed we will require a minimum number of attendees- If we do not fulfil this then the session will be cancelled- You will be advised if this is the case++
Your child may need your support during this session in order to follow instructions
You will remain responsible for your child at all times
From the weighbridge pub cross over the road and make your way over the bridge in the direction of the station. Once on this side you should see cecilia when looking to your left on the water, please follow the path down to the narrowboat
