Pilates is a mindful movement method developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s. It focuses on building core strength, improving posture, and increasing mobility through precise, controlled movements that strengthen and support the whole body.

In this Mat Pilates class, exercises are performed on a mat using your own body weight, sometimes with small props such as resistance bands, Pilates balls, foam rollers and Pilates circles. Movements are slow and controlled, guided by the breath, helping you develop strength, stability and flexibility while improving body awareness.

Although the exercises are gentle on the joints, they are highly effective in strengthening the muscles that support the spine, improving posture and balance, and helping your body move more freely and comfortably in everyday life. Many people also find that regular Pilates helps ease everyday aches and pains, particularly in the back, by improving strength, alignment and mobility.

My classes are suitable for everyone, including beginners. I carefully layer the exercises, offering different options so that you can work at a level that feels right for your body. If you’re new to Pilates, you can start with the more accessible versions of the movements, while those with more experience can choose slightly more challenging variations.

This approach allows everyone in the class to work at their own pace, progressing gradually as strength, confidence and body awareness develop.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Parking:
There is a car park directy outside the hall, including designated Disabled Parking spaces for easy access.

Arrivals:
Try to drive a few minutes early so you have time to settle in before class starts.

What to Bring:
All equipment is provided, but if you have your own mat, bring it along. I also suggest bringing a blanket or thick towel, which can be useful for added comfort and support during certain exercises.

Cost per class, per person. Advance payment by bank transfer is required within two hours of booking. Spaces cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received and may be released if payment is not made within this time. Bank details will be provided in your booking confirmation email.

Block Booking

Cost per class, per person. For bookings of at least one class per week for a minimum of four weeks. Please select the Block Booking ticket option and select the classes you wish to attend that meet these conditions.Non-refundable. Non-transferable. Classes cannot be carried forward or exchanged for alternative dates if missed.Payment is due in advance by bank transfer within two hours of booking.
