Join us for the Taize Trip, four days of celebration and contemplation in France.
For the last 5 years, every Easter we head to Taize, the ecumenical community in Burgundy, France to join the Easter celebrations from Thursday 17th April to Monday 21st April.
We will join thousands of young people from across Europe and the world to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Transport and price
We shall drive down to the Taize community on Thursday 17th April morning, (about 7 hours) and arrive there in the evening. We shall return on Monday 21st April, leaving in the morning and arriving back in the afternoon.
There, we shall be sleeping in separated dormitories, so you will need to bring a sleeping bag or duvet and sheets. Food shall be provided by the community and there are good facilities.
The cost of the trip will vary slightly for each person.
For the hire of the cars, the gas, and the French tolls, the cost will likely be 140 euros per person. We would ask you to pay this ahead of the trip.
For the stay at the Taize community, the contribution for the 4 days shall depend on your country, age, and student status, for students from western Europe, this should be around 50-80 euros, more details can be found here: https://www.taize.fr/en_article13881.html (This is age-dependent, please check for your situation).
The total price is likely to be around 200 euros total.
