Our 6 week Calm Canines Class featuring the Dog Training College Reactive Rascals Method offers a safe place to help the emotional dogs, who are nervous, over stimulated or unpredictable. Our training techniques are strictly ‘force free’, based on the ethos of positive reinforcement. We do not use aversive corrections of any kind. This course is open to maximum of 6 dogs per set and are run by a certified dog trainer and a clinical animal behaviourist.

Week 1 - 60 minute group zoom - all things handler education!
Week 2 - At home practice, there is a lot to learn in week one and you will need to practice before week 3.
Week 3 to 6 - Controlled exposure in a safe environment with a maximum of 6 dogs and their handlers, putting to work all of the things you have learnt in week 1 & 2

Topics we will cover:
What is reactivity?
Introduction to canine body language.
Building trust in the handler and reforming the handler & dog bond.
Diet, sleep, environment
Muzzle training basics and myth busting
What is a reward?
Trainer toolkit & brain games.
Teaching handlers to keep their dogs safe.
